Research Topic: Stimuli-responsive materials via electrohydrodynamic jetting
Stimuli-responsive materials are known for their ability to undergo a conformational change and alter their material properties in a dynamic response to an internal or external stimulus, such as pH, temperature, light, electrical or magnetic fields. These so-called "smart materials" have gained significant interest in drug delivery, soft robotics and other engineering fields. With the established electrohydrodynamic jetting, micrometer-sized fibers and scaffolds can be created with multiple compartments.
