Antibiotic-resistant and facultative pathogenic bacteria pose a growing threat to public health and should therefore not be released into the environment. It is already apparent that within the population in Germany, approx. 10% are colonized with multi-resistant bacteria, which can ultimately also lead to infections if the immune system is negatively affected.
